Milder with showers today! Wonderful spring weather for the weekend!


Skies are cloudy early this morning with some showers in the area, temperatures range from around 40 degrees in the Clifton area to the mid 30s in some of the inland suburbs, winds are light.

This morning a warm front will be approaching the area which will cause some showers and possibly a rumble of thunder, the warm front will cross the area later this morning and we may see some breaks in the clouds along with rapidly warming temperatures into the 60s and if we get more sunshine than anticipated the 70s are possible.  The cold front will be sweeping through the area this evening with more showers and possibly some thunderstorms followed by clearing and drier air late tonight.

Finally some nice spring weather for this weekend, Saturday may be a bit breezy, temperatures will reach the low 60s on Saturday with the mid to upper 60s on Sunday.

The nice weather will extend into Monday.

A weak cold front may touch off some showers on Tuesday followed by dry and pleasantly mild weather for Wednesday and Thursday.

Another chilly day with less wind; Milder with showers on Friday; Nice weather for the weekend!


At 6 a.m. this morning it is cloudy with some drizzle around the area, temperatures are rather uniform mostly in the mid 30s, winds are light.

Today will be another cloudy and cool day with occasional drizzle throughout the day and some light rain late this afternoon and tonight, temperatures will only again reach the 40s but with much less wind than on Wednesday.

A warm front will be crossing the area around noon on Friday preceded by some light rain and cool conditions in the morning and followed by much milder conditions in the afternoon with showers and possibly a thunderstorm.  A cold front will move through the area at night followed by clearing.

The weekend will be dry with seasonably mild temperatures although Saturday may be a bit breezy.

Mild conditions will continue into at least the middle of next week with the next chance of showers Tuesday evening into Wednesday.

Today and tomorrow will be dreary days with cloudy skies along with occasional periods of rain or drizzle, winds from the northeast will keep high temperatures well below normal with highs both days only in the 40s.

A warm front will cross the area on Friday and temperatures will become quite mild with highs near 70 degrees despite having considerable cloudiness along with showers.

We finally clear out for the weekend and both days with feature plenty of sunshine along with seasonably mild temperatures.

Continued mild into early next week and there is a chance of showers Monday evening into Tuesday.

At 6 a.m. skies are cloudy and there are some showers in the area, temperatures are mild with readings ranging from the low 50s in the Clifton area to some upper 40s further inland, winds are light.

A cold front will be sagging south of the area this morning, skies will remain cloudy with temperatures in the 50s this morning dropping to the 40s by sunset, periods of rain will fall throughout the day and night.

Quite cool and dreary tomorrow and Thursday with periods of light rain and drizzle both days, high temperatures will only rise into the low 40s which is around 15 degrees below normal for this time of year. A brisk northeast flow will make it feel even colder.

A warm front will try to move through on Friday, rain showers are likely with milder temperatures.

We should finally see some sun by Saturday along with seasonably mild temperatures.

Sunny with mild temperatures will continue on Sunday into early next week.

Rain on Tuesday it will start out mild but a cold front from the north will sag to our south in the afternoon bringing in cooler air by late in the day.

Wednesday and Thursday will be cloudy and dreary weather days with a chance of rain or drizzle both days and daytime highs only reaching the 40s.

Milder on Friday but showers are likely.

Still a chance of rain on Saturday but it will mild.

Finally on Sunday we should see more sunshine with seasonably mild temperatures.

A pleasantly cool Easter morning! Milder and breezy this afternoon with a chance of a brief April shower!


Skies are mostly clear on this Easter morning and temperatures are cool ranging from the mid 30s here in Clifton to some 20s in the colder inland valley, winds are nearly calm.

Today we will have mostly sunny skies to start the day with increasing cloudiness later in the morning along with a chance of a brief shower this afternoon, it will be breezy but not as windy as yesterday, temperatures will rise quickly this morning reaching the 60 degree mark by this afternoon.

Monday looks to be the best weather day of the upcoming week with partly sunny skies and milder temperatures and less wind.

Unsettled weather Tuesday through Saturday with rain chances each day as a front will be in our area, the heaviest and steadiest rain is  expected Tuesday night into Wednesday and then again on Friday.  Temperatures will be seasonably mild Monday and Tuesday, quite cool Wednesday and Thursday, with milder weather returning for Friday and Saturday.

Cooler with strong winds today! Rather nice Easter after a cool start!


A cold front has crossed our area that were accompanied by some showers, temperatures that were as high as 60 at 4 a.m. have dipped to the upper 40s in the Clifton area at 6 a.m. along with gusty northwest winds.

We will have clearing today but winds will pick up out of the west-northwest gusting at times to 35 mph, temperatures will not rise much despite having mostly sunny conditions.

After a chilly Easter morning with lows expected near the freezing mark temperatures will rise into the low 60s in the afternoon, we will be mainly dry but there is a small chance of an afternoon April shower.

Mild and dry on Monday.

A frontal will be in our area Tuesday through Friday with chances of rain each day, it will be mild still on Tuesday, cooler Wednesday and Thursday but mild once again on Friday.

Temperatures are unseasonably mild early this morning with readings ranging from the upper 50s in the Clifton area to the low 50s further inland, skies are cloudy and there are some showers across Central New Jersey, winds are from the southwest around 10 mph.

Today will be mainly cloudy with some showers and it will be continued quite mild.

A cold front will be moving into the area tonight causing rain with the possibility of a thunderstorm, rain amounts will be generally 3/4 to an inch.

On Saturday there is a chance of showers before 8 a.m. then we will see gradual clearing, windy and cooler conditions with highs in the low 50s.

Continued dry on Easter Sunday and after a cool morning temperatures in the afternoon will rise into the low 60s, it will still be a bit breezy.

Monday will continued to be dry and rather mild with less wind.

We have mostly clear skies early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton to the mid 20s further inland,  winds are averaging around 5 mph from the northwest.

Today will probably be the mildest day of the year so far with temperatures reaching the 60s along with plenty of sunshine, winds will increase however with some gusts to 25 mph.

A frontal system approaching from the west will cause showers and possibly a thunderstorm from after midnight tonight to early Saturday morning, it will continue to be mild with overnight lows dropping only to the upper 40s and highs on Friday once again in the mild 60s.

Easter Sunday looks to be a nice weather day with highs in the upper 50s along with plenty of sunshine, however it still will be a bit breezy.

Mild weather for the beginning of next week with  possible showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

CLIMATE:   March 2015 was the 3rd coldest March since I started keeping records in 1973 with temperatures averaging more than four degrees below normal..  It was the 4th snowiest March with 14.1 inches accumulating. The period of January through March this year was the coldest first three months since my record began.

Finally some consistent spring weather for our area and that is no joke!


At 6 a.m. we have mostly clear skies, temperatures range from around 30 in the Clifton area to the mid 20s further inland, winds are from the northwest around 5-10 mph.

Today we will have mostly sunny skies with high temperatures near the 50 degree mark.

Tomorrow will be an outstanding early spring day with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching the mid 60s.

A frontal system will move into the area late Thursday night which will cause showers and possible some thunderstorms on Friday with continued mild temperatures.

After a chance of an early shower Saturday morning the rest of the weekend will be dry but breezy and cooler.

Dry weather on Monday with seasonable cool temperatures.

Milder weather on Tuesday but with some showers possible.
