Hot today with some scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms!


We have clear skies early this Thursday morning and temperatures are quite mild ranging from the upper 60s in the Clifton area to the low 60s further inland, winds are light and the humidity is rather high.

Today will be a hot day with most areas reaching the lower 90s, with the heat and rather humid conditions some scattered thunderstorms may develop later this afternoon some of these storms may be severe, also there has been an air quality alert issued.

Quite warm and humid condition will continue Friday and Saturday as a cold front approaches the area, there will be a continued chance of showers and thunderstorms both days.

The front will pass to our south Saturday afternoon and Sunday will not be as warm or humid.

Monday will be seasonably warm but another front will cause some thunderstorms at night.

Warm and humid again on Tuesday ahead of another front, showers and thunderstorms are again possible.

Warm and dry and less humid on Wednesday.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Partly sunny, hot and humid, with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, some storms may be severe with damaging winds and heavy rain, high in the low 90s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms till midnight, some storms may be severe, low around 70.

FRIDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

SUNDAY – Sunny and less humid, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s, chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southerly winds to 13 knots, seas 2-3 feet.    Water temperatures are in the upper 50s.

OUTLOOK – Advisories possible late Friday into early Saturday otherwise no advisories expected through Sunday.
