Skies are cloudy with some light rain around the area, temperatures are still warm ranging from the low 70s in Clifton to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light.  The rain early this morning ended a streak of about 20 days without any measurable precipitation which was the longest since 2001 when we had 26 days of rain free weather.

Today we will have cloudy skies with periods of rain into the evening, some of the rain may be heavy at times that can cause some local flooding, temperatures will not rise that much as a cold front has settled to our south and highs will be in the 70s which then will end another streak of 80 degree plus days that started on July 5th.

Rain should end by Friday morning and we should have a dry Friday afternoon, temperatures will be near normal.

Most of the day on Saturday will be dry but another disturbance will likely cause more rain from Saturday night into most of Sunday, temperatures again will be near normal.

Some rain may linger into early Monday then we should see dry weather with above normal temperatures most of next week.

Another warm early morning on this Wednesday as temperatures range from the low 70s in Clifton to some low 60s further inland, winds are light and it is a little muggy with dew points in the 60s.  Skies are mostly clear.

Yesterday many record highs were recorded, here in Clifton the mercury rose to 97 degrees which was the hottest temperature since July 19, 2013 and the warmest September temperatures since September 11, 1983.

Today the temperature will be a few degrees lower but still reach the low 90s and with dew points rising into the low 70s will make it still feel uncomfortable.  We should see an increase in clouds as the day progresses as a cold front approaches from the west.

Showers and thunderstorms will move into the area late tonight as the front pushes through as last through most of the day on Thursday, rain may be heavy at times. With the clouds and precipitation temperatures may not climb out of the 70s.

Friday we should see clearing with lower humidity.

Saturday should be a nice September day but there is a good chance of showers on Sunday that may extend into Monday morning.

Dry most of the rest of next week with temperatures  rising to well above normal by late in the week.

Record breaking heat likely today as high pressure continues to give us plenty of sunshine, highs will rise into the mid 90s, humidity will be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

Not as hot on Wednesday as we should have more cloudiness along with a chance of showers by evening, it will become more humid with dew points reaching the oppressive 70s.

A slow moving frontal system will likely give our area a much needed widespread rain event on Thursday, it will continue to be very humid, the rain may be heavy at times possibly leading to some flash flooding.

The front will move offshore on Friday with clearing skies and less humid conditions.

Seasonable warm over the weekend but we will have a chance of showers mainly Sunday afternoon.

Dry weather will return with comfortable temperatures early next week.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine along with hot temperatures, humidity will be slowly rising.

Tomorrow and Wednesday the heat will continue along with higher humidity as high pressure moves off the coast.

A front will be moving into the area on Thursday that will likely give the area some well needed rainfall,  it will be not as hot with the cloud cover but it will be very humid.

Still a chance of showers on Friday with decreasing temperatures and humidity.

At this point the weekend looks mainly dry with seasonably warm temperatures.

High pressure will give us plenty of sunshine again today, temperatures will be a little higher than on Saturday reaching the mid 80s.

Hot weather for Labor Day extending to at least Wednesday as high pressure moves offshore and a southwest flow develops increasing the temperature and humidity.

A front will be approaching the area on Thursday increasing the chances of showers and thunderstorms.  The front will be slow to move so rain chances will continue Friday into Saturday.  It will be very humid on Thursday with a little lower humidity Friday and Saturday.
