Dry and seasonably cool today and Tuesday! Significant rain Wednesday into Thursday!


Skies are mostly clear early this Monday morning and temperatures range from the low 40s here in Clifton to the low 30s in the colder suburbs, winds are light.

Today and Tuesday will have plenty of sunshine both days with seasonably cool temperatures.

Our first widespread significant rain will fall on Wednesday into Thursday morning, expect an average of 1-2 inches of rainfall with some higher amounts, temperatures will be mild.

Seasonably cool and dry weather will return for Friday into the weekend with good weather anticipated for the Mets home world series games and also for Halloween.

TONIGHT – Clear, low around 40.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

WEDNESDAY – Rain, mainly after 11 a.m. high in the mid 60s.

THURSDAY – Showers mainly before 7 a.m, cloudy then becoming mostly sunny by the afternoon, high in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

HALLOWEEN – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny, high near 60.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect till noon today for north-northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet, conditions lowering this afternoon.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely Tuesday through Friday.
