Very pleasant fall weather with milder temperatures today and Wednesday!

We have mostly clear skies early this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the upper 40s in the Clifton area so some upper 30s in the colder suburbs with 37 degrees currently reported in Basking Ridge, winds are light.

Today we will enjoy plenty of sunshine along with much milder temperatures as readings reach the low 70s by this afternoon.

Not as cool tonight and with the return of sunshine on Wednesday we should see even slightly higher temperatures tomorrow.

The next chance of rain will be on Friday as a cold front moves into the area, most of the showers should occur in the afternoon and at night, temperatures again will be mild.

High cloudiness this morning is actually extending from Hurricane Joaquin which is several hundred miles offshore,  this cloudiness should give way to mostly sunny skies by this afternoon and temperatures a few degrees higher than what we reached on Sunday, winds will further diminish.

We will have mostly sunny and dry days Tuesday through Thursday with highs reaching the 70s Tuesday and Wednesday with slightly cooler readings on Thursday.

Today will be a cloudy day, high temperatures are expected to be around five degrees milder than the last couple of days, minor to moderate coastal flooding will continue for the New Jersey coast. South Carolina is getting drenched with historic rainfall from this nor’easter with over a foot of rain in some spots.  A few days ago the models indicated that our area would have that flooding rains followed by Hurricane Joaquin, lucky for us that didn’t happen.

Quite chilly and windy again with occasional rain and drizzle today! Slowly improving weather on Sunday! Dry and milder next week!

Skies are cloudy early this morning and the rain has tapered off to drizzle, it is quite cool and breezy with temperatures mainly in the low-mid 40s. A little over an inch of rain has fallen since this time yesterday.

Today will continue to be cloudy, chilly and breezy as strong high pressure to our north along with a front just offshore will again give us a rather brisk northeast flow of the very cool air.  We will have periods of rain and drizzle today with much lower rain amounts.  The coast will continue to be pounded by high tides.  Meanwhile Hurricane Joaquin is moving northeast from the Bahamas and will not affect our weather.

The high pressure will build down closer to the area on Sunday and after some morning drizzle or light rain we should see some improving conditions in the afternoon with somewhat milder temperatures.

Dry with milder temperatures next week!
