Skies have become overcast early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the mid 30s here in Clifton to the upper 20s in the colder inland spots and although these temperatures are above normal for this time of day it will be the coolest morning of this week.

Today will be mostly cloudy and despite only a little sunshine warmer air will move into the area with temperatures reaching the 50s.

Tuesday will be mainly cloudy with some light rain likely mainly falling in the morning as a weakening cold front moves through the area.

A warm front will be approaching the area on Wednesday giving us rain that may be heavy at times.

Record breaking warmth on Christmas Eve with only a low chance of some showers, temperatures are likely to hit 70 degrees or even higher if we get more sunshine.

Christmas Day will only be slightly cooler and along with plenty of sunshine it will be a rather nice day.

A frontal system over the weekend in our area will cause considerable cloudiness along with a chance of showers, temperatures will continue to be well above normal.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and with the cloudiness temperatures are not as cold as was expected with readings ranging from the mid 30s here in Clifton to some upper 20s in the colder inland areas, winds are still a little gusty.

Skies will become mostly sunny this morning and winds will diminish and even though temperatures will only be a tad higher today it will feel much more comfortable than yesterday.

Warmer air starts moving into the area on Monday, skies will be partly sunny and temperatures will rise into the 50s.

Quite mild Tuesday and Wednesday with shower chances increasing with the best likelihood of rain will be from Wednesday afternoon through early on Thursday.

After a chance of some morning showers on Christmas Eve we should see some sunshine and temperatures are likely to reach record levels with some spots hitting the 70 degree mark.

Christmas Day should be cooler however temperatures will still be well above normal along with mostly sunny skies.

Above normal temperatures should continue next weekend with a chance of showers late in the day on Saturday.

Dry and breezy today with “seasonably” cold temperatures! Less wind tomorrow! Unseasonably mild weather again next week!


Skies are mostly clear in most of the area early on this Saturday morning and temperatures have fallen to the low 30s here in Clifton to the mid 20s further inland, winds are from the west averaging 10-15 mph.  There are some flurries being reported over the Poconos and some parts of northwest New Jersey.

Today we will have a mix of clouds and sun and it will be breezy with highs just around average for this time of year but after being so mild the last few weeks today will feel downright cold. Tonight winds will diminish and low temperatures will drop to the upper 20s in the Clifton area to some teens further inland, again these temperatures are near normal for this time of year.

Plenty of sunshine on Sunday with temperatures a couple of degrees higher than today but with less wind it will feel more comfortable.

Another warming trend starts on Monday and lasts through the entire week as we are on track to having the warmest December on record.  Monday will be dry however showers are possible Tuesday into Thursday, the best chance of record temperatures will be on Christmas Eve with highs well up into the 60s.

A cold front will come through on Christmas Eve night with cooler weather with plenty of sunshine expected on Christmas Day, although it will be cooler temperatures will continue to be well above normal.

Clearing and breezy today with slowly falling temperatures! Dry and seasonably cold weekend! Warmer again next week!


Skies are mostly cloudy early this Friday morning and temperatures that were in the 50s overnight now have dropped to the upper 40s in Clifton and to around 40 further inland, winds are gusting to 25 mph out of the northwest.   Yesterday’s storm over performed with rainfall as 1.19″ fell in our area.

Today will see some sunshine it will be breezy, temperatures will remain steady in the 40s and drop to the 30s by this evening.

Saturday will be seasonably cold and windy and it will feel much colder after the very mild temperatures of the last few weeks.  We may see our first snow flurries of the season and well inland there may be some slight accumulations, however this will probably be the only snow we see for the rest of this month.

After a chilly Sunday morning with temperatures in the 20s we will have sunny skies during the day with less wind and slight milder temperatures.

Back to above normal temperatures next week with some records possible Wednesday and Thursday, unlike the last warm spell this time we will see more in the way of clouds and showers especially from Tuesday until early on Christmas morning when a stronger cold front moves through the area.

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are mild ranging from the upper 40s here in Clifton to the low 40s further inland, winds are nearly calm.  These readings this morning are nearly 20 degrees above normal for this time of year.

A storm system will be moving through the area today with rain developing by late this morning and continuing into the evening, rainfall amounts will be averaging  1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.

Drier air moves in for Friday, it will be a little cooler but still above normal.

This weekend we drop to near normal temperatures which will feel quite chilly after this amazing December warm spell.  Saturday will be quite breezy with a snow flurry possible more likely over the Poconos and the Hudson Valley.  Sunday will have less wind with slightly milder temperatures.

Above normal temperatures return next week.   Rain is likely Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Today will be a mild day with much less wind than on Tuesday, highs will be in the low 50s.  We will have mostly sunny skies this morning with increasing clouds this afternoon.

A frontal system will cause rain on Thursday mostly falling in the afternoon and evening although we may have some morning drizzle and fog, some heavy downpours are possible, look for an average of 1/2 to 2/3 inch of rainfall.

Colder over the weekend, it will be mainly dry although some flurries may be seen well inland on Saturday, temperatures will only be near normal for this time of year but will be a shock after the amazingly mild temperatures so far this month.

Windy and still unseasonably mild today with sunshine! Rain on Thursday! Seasonably cold over the weekend!


Skies have become mostly clear early this Tuesday morning and temperatures are amazingly mild with readings ranging from the upper 50s here in Clifton to around 50 further inland.  A cold front caused some heavy showers around 1:30 a.m. and before the front passed the temperature reached a balmy 66 degrees which set another Clifton record making it six record highs in a row.

Today we will have gusty westerly winds along with mostly sunny skies, temperatures will stay unseasonably mild rising into the low 60s, winds will gust to near 30 mph at times.

On Wednesday we will have mostly sunny skies and light winds, highs will “only” reach the low to mid 50s which is still about 10-15 degrees above normal.

A storm system moving in from the west will cause rain with continued mild temperatures on Thursday.

Colder air will move in along with drying conditions on Friday that will last over the weekend, highs over the weekend will be closer to normal that will feel quite chilly after this amazing stretch of warm December weather.   There is an outside chance of seeing our first snow flurry of the season on Saturday.

The cold air doesn’t last long and we will again have well above normal temperatures next week as it is becoming more likely that December 2015 will be the warmest December on record.

Another record warmth day today with showers by evening! Breezy, dry and still quite mild on Tuesday! Colder over the weekend!


Skies are cloudy early this Monday morning and temperatures are once again well above normal with readings ranging from 50 degrees here in Clifton to the low 40s in the colder inland areas, winds are nearly calm and there is some patchy fog in some spots.

Today will be a mostly cloudy day ahead of a cold front but despite the clouds temperatures will rise once again to record levels with highs in the 60s and if we get enough sunshine 70 degrees is not out of the question.  Showers will develop by evening with even a chance of a  rumble of thunder, this rain should end our streak of Monday’s without any measurable rain, the last time we had rain on Monday was back on June 15th.

The front will clear the area Tuesday morning and drier air will move in, it will be breezy but temperatures once again will rise into the 60s and some more record highs may be broken.

Sunny with less wind on Wednesday, temperatures will be a little cooler but still well above normal for mid-December.

Another stronger cold front will be moving into the area on Thursday with some showers, temperatures will continue to be quite mild.

Colder air will move into the area on Friday and last through the weekend, it will be mainly dry and windy and temperatures will fall to near normal for this time of year with highs around 40 and lows in the 20s.  There is even a slight chance of seeing our first snow flurry of the season on Saturday.

The cold air doesn’t last long as another ridge of high pressure is expected to affect the area next week and some more record highs are possible, in fact looking at the latest computer models it could come close to 70 degrees on Christmas Day, so no white Christmas this year.

Skies are partly cloudy early this Sunday morning and temperatures are amazingly mild with readings ranging from the mid 50s here in Clifton to the upper 40s in some inland areas, these readings are nearly 25 degrees above the normal and are more like the middle of September than the middle of December.

Today will be another warm day with record highs likely in many areas as temperatures reach the mid 60s once again despite considerable cloudiness.

It will be quite mild and humid tonight into Monday with a chance of some late night and early morning drizzle and some showers in the afternoon and evening as a cold front approaches the area, there may even by a rare December thunderstorm.

Drier air will follow the front on Tuesday but it will still be quite mild and it will be breezy.

Cooler and sunny weather on Wednesday but temperatures will still be well above normal.

Another stronger cold front will likely cause showers on Thursday.

Much cooler air for next weekend as temperatures fall to near normal.  At this time this cold air will not last that long as next week looks to be quite mild once again.  December 2015 has a good chance of being the warmest December on record.
