Some morning flurries then sunshine this afternoon! Significant warmup this week starting tomorrow!


Skies are cloudy over the region this morning and there are some flurries falling especially over the Poconos, temperatures are chilly ranging from the upper 20s here in Clifton to the low 20s further inland.  These temperatures are cold but not nearly as cold as on this date last year when we had a 7 degree reading along with 19 inches of snow on the ground.

Today we may see some early flurries followed by clearing, temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than what we had yesterday topping off in the mid 40s.

The warmup is still on tap for this week with the 50s on Monday, 60s on Tuesday and near 70 degrees on Wednesday and with no rain expected through Wednesday it will be very pleasant.

A cold front is expected to cross the area on Thursday along with some showers, highs will still be in the 60s.

A little cooler Friday and Saturday but temperatures will still be above normal with some rain possible on Saturday.

TODAY – Cloudy this morning with a chance of flurries then becoming mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the upper 20s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 50s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, high near 70.

THURSDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 60s.

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy, high in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain,  high near 60.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – North wind to 6 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Monday through Wednesday with advisories possible on Thursday.
