Warm and dry Monday! Dry and cooler tomorrow and Wednesday! Good chance of showers on Friday!

Skies are clear early on this Monday morning and with calm winds there is a rather large range of temperatures with the upper 40s here in Clifton to the mid 30s in some of the inland valleys but some spots in Northern New Jersey are in the low-mid 50s.

Today we again will have plenty of sunshine temperatures  will rise quickly reaching near 80 by this afternoon.   Although it will be warm today it will not be as warm as it was 40 years ago today when the temperature went up to 96 degrees which was Easter Sunday that year.

A cold front will cross the area late tonight followed by somewhat cooler weather for Tuesday and Wednesday but we will remain dry as high pressure build into the area.

A frontal system will be approaching the area late this week with the best chance of showers will be on Friday, temperatures will be mild.

As of now the upcoming weekend looks to be dry with near seasonable temperatures as another high pressure builds into the area.

Ah memories … we were in Garfield in 1976 and Shari had decided to cook her first Easter ham dinner … rather warm in the kitchen that day !!!! … it was quite a few years later before she ever made a ham dinner (or anything baked) for Easter again
