Hot and very humid with a chance of showers today! Quite hot but less humid on Friday!


Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and it is very warm with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s here in Clifton only dropping to around 70 inland, it is also quite muggy with dew points in the oppressive low 70s.

Today we will be hot and very humid along with mostly cloudy skies, with the dew points in the mid 70s and high temperatures near 90 degrees will help raise the heat index to over 100 degrees, a heat advisory is in effect for our area.  Also there may be some scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly this afternoon and evening.

Friday may be a degree or two higher but with lower humidity as dew points drop into the 60s so it won’t feel as uncomfortable as today and there will be plenty of sunshine.

The weekend looks to be mainly dry and quite warm with moderate humidity, there is a low chance of showers and thunderstorms late Saturday night.

Quite warm again early next week and we will have a better chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon into Tuesday as a cold front crosses the area.

Wednesday looks like an ideal summer day with seasonably warm temperatures, comfortable humidities and plenty of sunshine.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly before midnight, low in the low 70s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny and quite hot but less humid, high in the mid 90s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, high near 90, chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

SUNDAY – Becoming mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

 

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southerly winds to 12 knots, seas 2 feet.  Water temperatures are in the low 70s.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through Monday.
