Very warm and extremely humid weather today through the weekend with a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day!


Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are warm with readings ranging from the mid 70s here in Clifton to around 70 further inland, humidity is also high with dew points in the low 70s.

A stretch of very warm and very humid conditions will be with us from today through the weekend as a Bermuda high pressure will produce a south-southwest flow of tropical air.  Today we will see considerable cloudiness with a chance of showers and thunderstorms some of these storms may be accompanied by heavy rain, with the clouds temperatures  should fall short of the 90 degree mark but with dew points in the 70s will make it feel quite uncomfortable.

Temperatures will be even hotter Thursday through the weekend with a continued chance of showers again accompanied by heavy rain, with dew points in the 70s will cause heat indexes over 100 degrees in many areas each day.

Slightly less hot and humid early next week but still shower chances will continue.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of evening showers and thunderstorms, low in the low 70s.

THURSDAY – Mostly cloudy, hot and humid with a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy, hot and humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, very hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 90s.

SUNDAY – Mostly cloudy, hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

MONDAY – Mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny, chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest winds to 9 knots, seas 1-2 feet.  Water temperatures are in the low-mid 70s.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Thursday through the day tomorrow, with near advisory conditions Friday night through Sunday.
