Becoming sunny today after morning rain! More unsettled weather tomorrow afternoon through at least Saturday!


Light rain is falling over most of the area early on this Tuesday morning with temperatures milder than the last few mornings ranging from the mid 60s in the Clifton area to around 60 inland, the humidity is high and the winds are light.

The weak front that caused the overnight rain will move offshore, the rain will end this morning and we should see some sunshine by this afternoon, temperatures will be seasonably mild.

Tomorrow will start off dry but low pressure along the front offshore will cause light rain or drizzle in the afternoon.

Unsettled weather will continue Thursday though at least the early part of the weekend giving us periods of rain with the heaviest rain falling on Thursday.

Dry weather should return on Sunday and last into early next week with seasonably mild temperatures.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Cloudy with rain ending this morning followed by sunshine, high in the mid 70s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – Becoming cloudy with a chance of light rain or drizzle in the afternoon and night, high in the low 70s.

THURSDAY – Cloudy with rain, high in the upper 60s.

FRIDAY – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 70.

SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 70s.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST – TODAY – Small craft advisories in effect till 11 a.m., winds diminishing from the west to 12 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely Wednesday through Friday, no advisories expected on Saturday.

TROPICAL – While we are vacationing in Barbados a strong tropical system is approaching and will be crossing the island tomorrow, this storm is expected to give us at least tropical storm winds and heavy rain, the storm should become “Matthew” and may actually come up the east coast and intensify into a hurricane by the middle of next week.
