Unseasonably mild today through Saturday! Showers likely on Saturday! Cooler and dry on Sunday!


THURSDAY FEBRUARY 23, 2017  6:00 A.M.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and with calm winds there is a wide range of temperatures ranging from the low 40s in the Clifton area to near 30 further inland, there is some dense fog mostly over southern coastal areas.

Today we will have a mix of clouds and sunshine, temperatures will reach the mild 60s and with enough sunshine a 70 degree reading is possible.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and mild with some drizzle and fog possible in this humid airmass.

Friday will be very mild once again with readings well up into the 60s but there will be considerable cloudiness with some drizzle possible mainly in the early morning and again Friday night.

A cold front will cross the area Saturday afternoon, ahead of the front it will be very mild once again with readings in the 60s.  Rain showers are likely mainly in the afternoon and night with even a possible springlike thunderstorm

Much cooler on Sunday but we should remain dry.

Unsettled weather early next week as a frontal system will be in our area, some showers are possible but no significant rain is expected, temperatures although cooler will still be above normal.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of drizzle or light showers, very mild with lows in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – FEB 24 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of drizzle of light showers, high in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY – FEB 25 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of drizzle in the morning and rain likely in the afternoon, high in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – FEB 26 – Mostly sunny and cooler, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – FEB 27 – Partly sunny, high near  50.

TUESDAY – FEB 28 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 50s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 1 – Cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 50s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southwest wind to 10 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected during the day on Friday with possible small craft advisories Friday night through Monday; no advisories expected on Tuesday.
