Unseasonably cool today with periods of light rain! Cool again on Tuesday with a chance of showers! Warmer on Wednesday!


MONDAY  MAY 29,  2017  5:50 A.M.

Skies are cloudy early on this Memorial Day morning and some light rain is falling in many parts of the area. Temperatures range from the upper 50s in Clifton to the low 50s further inland, winds are light easterly.

A low pressure system will cause cloudy skies today with periods of light rain mainly falling this morning. Temperatures with the clouds and onshore winds will be well below normal with highs only around 60 degrees.

Tomorrow will still be mostly cloudy, temperatures will be a few degrees milder but still below normal; a weak front may cause some showers in the evening.

Warmer on Wednesday, but with a cold front moving through there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening.

Thursday should be mostly sunny with seasonably mild temperatures.

Another front may cause showers on Friday.  At this time the upcoming weekend looks to be dry with temperatures at or slightly below normal.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – MAY 30 – Mostly cloudy, high in the upper 60s, showers likely at night.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 31 – Partly sunny, chance of afternoon or evening showers, warmer, high near 80.

THURSDAY – JUN 1 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

FRIDAY – JUN 2 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, high in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY – JUN 3 – Mostly sunny,high in the mid 70s.

SUNDAY – JUN 4 – Partly sunny, high in the low 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisories in effect till noon today for east winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Friday.
