TUESDAY  JUNE 27, 2017  5:40 A.M.

Rain is now falling in the Clifton area early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are cool ranging from the low 60s in Clifton to the mid 50s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A weak disturbance is causing showers over the area this morning but should be off the coast by 8 a.m., some sunshine will return by this afternoon although there is a slight chance of a scattered shower this afternoon or evening, temperatures will be slightly lower than on Monday and the humidity will remain on the low side.

High pressure building into the area will give us plenty of sunshine Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will be slightly below normal on Wednesday rising to near normal levels on Thursday.

The high pressure will move off the coast and a return southwest flow will give us much warmer and more humid air Thursday night through the weekend.  Showers are possible during this timeframe with the best chance of showers and thunderstorms will be Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front approaches the area.
