Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are still rather mild with readings ranging from around 70 in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is still rather high.

A cold front will cross the area this morning followed by much less humid air but it will stay quite warm with temperatures reaching well up into the 80s, winds will be rather gusty this afternoon.

Pleasantly warm weather for Wednesday and Thursday with plenty of sunshine both days, humidity will continue to be on the low side.

A warm front will cross the area on Friday bringing warm and more humid air into the region along with a chance of showers.

A cold front will cross the area on Saturday morning with showers, the front will be followed by improving weather for later on Saturday.

Pleasant weather again for Sunday and Monday.

Strong to severe thunderstorms with flooding rains likely late this afternoon and evening!


MONDAY  JUNE 19, 2017  5:51 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and it is very warm outside already with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in the Clifton area to the low 70s further inland.  The humidity is very high with dew points in the oppressive 70s, winds are light southerly.

A cold front approaching from the west will give our area heavy rain with strong to severe thunderstorms from late this afternoon into this evening. Rainfall should average 1-2 inches with some higher amounts possible.  Some thunderstorms may be accompanied by damaging winds and some hail.   A flash flood watch is in effect as some areas may receive more than an inch of rain per hour.

The front will cross the area tomorrow morning with some lingering showers possible after midnight.  Skies will become partly sunny tomorrow afternoon; it still will be warm but much less humid.

Wednesday and Thursday should be pleasant summer days with warm temperatures and comfortable humidity.

Unsettled weather Friday through the weekend, temperatures will be warm and there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.

Warm and humid today with a low chance of showers! Heavy rain for Monday with possible severe thunderstorms!


SUNDAY  JUNE 18, 2017  5:48 A.M.

Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there is some fog in parts of the area, temperatures are warm ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the upper 60s, winds are mostly calm and the humidity is quite high.

A Bermuda high pressure will pump tropical air into the area today, it should be mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks, there is a low chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening but most areas should remain dry.

An active weather day for Monday as a cold front approaches the area with warm and very humid air ahead of the front.  Widespread shower and thunderstorms activity should develop in the afternoon and continue at night, rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are expected with some higher amounts possible, a flash flood watch has been issued.  Also some of the storms may be severe causing strong gusty winds and possible hail.

The front will cross the area early Tuesday morning with showers possible followed by clearing during the day, temperatures will be warm but the humidity will be much lower.

Wednesday through Saturday will be mainly dry with warm temperatures, there will be chances of afternoon and evening thunderstorms on Wednesday and again towards the weekend as weak disturbances move through the area.

Skies are cloudy early on this Saturday morning and there is some drizzle and fog in parts of the area, temperatures are mainly in the low to mid 60s, the humidity is high and the winds are mainly calm.

Today we will have mainly cloudy skies and there is a chance of shower and thunderstorms, it will be warmer than on Friday and it will be humid.

We may see some more sunshine on Sunday causing warmer temperatures, there still will be a chance of mainly afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorm, it will remain quite humid.

Monday still looks to be quite active as a cold front slowly approaches the area causing heavy rain and possibly severe thunderstorms.

Less humid on Tuesday with a chance of morning showers.  Another front may cause some afternoon showers on Wednesday.  High pressure will give us a nice day on Thursday.  A chance of showers again on Friday as another front  approaches the area.   Temperatures Tuesday through Friday will be slightly above normal.

FRIDAY  JUNE 16, 2017  5:48 A.M.

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Friday morning. Temperatures range from the low 60s in the Clifton area to the low 50s further inland, winds are light easterly.

Today will be a cloudy and cool day as high pressure moves off the New England coast and a warm front approaches from the west. There will be some light showers or drizzle falling in  parts of the area.

The warm front will move to our north on Saturday and a southwest flow of warmer and more humid air will be with us for the weekend. There are chances of showers and thunderstorms but most of the time it will be dry.

Monday looks to be a quite active day with possibly strong to severe thunderstorms and very heavy downpours as a cold front approaches from the west.

Some showers still possible on Tuesday, temperatures will be warm but with less humidity.   More showers and thunderstorms again  possible on Wednesday as another front moves into our area.
