FRIDAY  JULY 7, 2017  5:50 A.M.

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning with rain mostly over the northwest part of our area, temperatures range from the upper 60s in the Clifton area to the low 60s further inland, winds are light.

An area of heavy rain will move through the area this morning dropping an average of an inch of rainfall, some sunshine and warm temperatures are likely this afternoon.  There is a low chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight.

Saturday will be quite warm  temperatures will approach the 90 degree mark and it will be rather humid in the morning but become less humid in the afternoon

Sunday will be slightly cooler with low humidity as high pressure builds into the area.

Monday should be dry with seasonably warm temperatures.  A cold front will cross the area on Tuesday giving us a chance of showers.

At this point Wednesday and Thursday look to be dry with seasonably warm temperatures.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower after midnight, low in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY – JUL 8 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – JUL 9  – Sunny and less humid, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – JUL 10 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – JUL 11 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high near 90.

WEDNESDAY – JUL 12 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – JUL 13 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – North-northwest wind to 9 knots, seas 2 feet.  Belmar’s ocean temperature is 70 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Saturday through Tuesday.
