Sunshine returns today and it will be quite warm! Showers likely from Thursday night into Saturday morning!


WEDNESDAY  AUGUST 16, 2017  5:40 A.M.

We have partly cloudy skies early on this Wednesday morning and there are areas that there is some dense fog, temperatures range from around 70 in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high.

A weak cold front will cross the area this morning followed by high pressure building in from the west, we should see plenty of sunshine with tempertures reaching to near 90, however the humidity will lower by this afternoon.

Thursday we should stay dry but we should see an increase in clouds in the afternoon, temperatures will be slightly lower than today.  Showers are likely late at night.

Friday will be a cloudy and very humid day with showers and thunderstorms likely.

Some showers are possible Saturday morning but then sunshine returns with less humid conditions in the afternoon.

Sunday and Monday look to be very nice summer days with plenty of sunshine both days and with seasonably warm temperatures.

A cold front may touch off a shower on Tuesday.

TODAY – AUG 16  – Some fog before 8 a.m. then becoming mostly sunny, high near 90.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the low 60s.

THURSDAY – AUG 17 – Sunny in the morning, partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the mid 80s, chance of showers after 10 p.m.

FRIDAY – AUG 18 – Cloudy and very humid with showers and thunderstorms likely, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – AUG 19 – Partly sunny with a chance of a morning shower, less humid in the afternoon, high in the mid 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 20 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 21 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – AUG 22 – Partly sunny with a chance of a shower, high in the upper 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  A small craft advisory is in effect till 2 p.m. for high seas, winds northwest 5-10 knots, seas 4-5 feet.  Belmar’s ocean temperature is 74 degrees.  High rip currents are likely from swells from Hurricane Gert.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Thursday through Sunday.
