Seasonably warm and remaining dry during the day today! Warm and very humid on Friday with showers and thunderstorms likely!

THURSDAY  AUGUST 17, 2017   5:45 A.M.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in the Clifton area down to the upper 50s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure moving off the coast will provide the area with another nice summer day with plenty of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures.

Increasing cloudiness tonight as a warm front approaches the area, showers should hold off until after midnight.   The front will move north of the area on Friday bringing in much more humid air as dew points rise to the oppressive mid 70s.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday into Friday night, some of the storms may be accompanied by heavy rain and gusty winds.

A cold front will cross the area early Saturday morning and we should have a rather nice weekend with plenty of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday along with lower humidity, it still will be rather warm.

High pressure will continue to bring us nice weather with limited clouds for the partial eclipse on Monday.

Another front may cause showers Tuesday into Wednesday, temperatures will remain seasonably warm.
