Plenty of sunshine this weekend with unseasonably warm temperatures! Still warm and mainly dry most of next week!


SATURDAY  SEPTEMBER 23, 2017  5:46 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are mild once again ranging from the upper 60s in the Clifton area down to mid 50s further inland, winds are light.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine and temperatures again rising into the 80s, humidity will be low with dew points in the 50s.

Warmer and more humid on Sunday, temperatures will approach the 90 degree mark and with dew points rising into the 60s it will feel more like the middle of August.

Most of this upcoming week will be warm with highs mostly in the 80s through Thursday.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night or Friday possible accompanied by showers and followed by much cooler air for next weekend.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – SEP 23 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY – SEP 24 – Sunny, hot and more humid, high near 90.

MONDAY – SEP 25 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – SEP 26 – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.

WEDNESDAY – SEP 27 – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.

THURSDAY – SEP 28 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

FRIDAY – SEP 29 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  A small craft advisory is in effect for high seas until 6 a.m. Sunday morning.  Today – Northerly winds to 20 knots, seas 3-6 feet.  Dangerous rip currents are expected.

OUTLOOK – Advisories expected to be continued Sunday through Wednesday as swells from Hurricane Maria affect the coastline.

 

TROPICS:  Hurricane Maria is located north of the Bahamas with top winds of 120 mph, Maria is expected to come northward and brush the Outer Banks of North Carolina and then move northeast well away from the Mid-Atlantic coast.
