Light snow ending this morning then mainly dry and chilly Friday and Saturday! Milder next week!

THURSDAY  DECEMBER 14, 2017  5:51 A.M.

Our area has cloudy skies early on this Thursday morning and there is some light snow falling in some spots, temperatures are cold ranging from the low 20s in the Clifton area falling to the mid teens further inland, winds are light.  About an inch of snow has fallen overnight.

The low pressure that is responsible for the snow will move east offshore, periods of light snow will end around 9 or 10 a.m. with another 1/2 inch of accumulation possible.  We should see some clearing this afternoon, temperatures will be chilly.

Mainly dry and cold Friday and Saturday, a low pressure area is expected to move up the coast but too far to our east to give us any precipitation.

Sunday will be dry with slightly moderating temperatures, however a weak system may give us some light snow at night.

Milder weather is expected for most of next week with no big storms anticipated.
