Cold today but with less wind! Milder on Super Bowl Sunday with rain developing briefly beginning as snow!

SATURDAY  FEBRUARY 3, 2018  5:46  A.M.

It is a very cold start to the day today as temperatures have dipped to the mid teens in the Clifton area and down to around 5 above further inland, skies are mostly clear and the winds are light.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine, temperatures will still be cold but with less wind it will not feel as harsh as yesterday.

We should have increasing clouds today and as high pressure moves offshore and low pressure approaching from the west will produce a southwesterly flow of milder air, precipitation should begin around noon and start off as snow quickly changing to rain, no accumulation is expected in the Clifton area but further inland 1-2 inches is possible before changing to rain.  The rain should end at night.

Fair weather with slightly below normal temperatures Monday and Tuesday as high pressure build into the area.

Another low pressure will give us precipitation on Wednesday again starting off as snow and then changing to rain.  The rain may change back to snow before ending Wednesday night.

Fair weather returns for Thursday and Friday with again slightly below normal temperatures.

With steady gale in Verona Park made it pretty nippy while feeding whole kernel corn to the ducks who, acted as if they hadn’t eaten in weeks.
