Pleasantly mild and dry today and tomorrow! Coastal storm to give us rain and wind from Thursday afternoon through Friday!

TUESDAY  FEBRUARY 27, 2018   5:45 A.M.

Good morning!   Skies are clear early this morning and with light winds there is a wide range of temperatures with the mid 30s here in Clifton down to the low 20s further inland, Walpack is now at a chilly 19 degrees.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine and it will be a pleasant day with light winds, high temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than on Monday.

Still mild and dry on Wednesday but we should see an increase in cloudiness by the afternoon.

A coastal storm is expected to give our area rain and wind from Thursday afternoon into Friday, the models have backed off on wind and precipitation amounts but we should still see about 1-2 inches of rain along with rather strong winds.  There is a chance of some snow mixing in across the higher elevations across northwest New Jersey and the Poconos Friday morning.

This upcoming weekend looks to be seasonably cool but breezy.

There are indications that there may be a storm towards the middle of next week and this time it may be cold enough for snow, so don’t put away those snow shovels away yet.
