Milder and dry today with showers likely late tonight! Cool but mainly dry Sunday and Monday! Significant warm up starting Tuesday!


Good morning everyone!  Skies are partly to mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 40s in the Clifton area down to the low 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Today a weak area of high pressure will give us some sunshine along with milder temperatures.  A cold front will cross the area late tonight with showers likely mainly from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.

Breezy and cooler on Sunday despite having  plenty of sunshine

A weak disturbance could give the area a light shower late Sunday night which may be mixed with snow across higher elevations of northwest New Jersey and the Poconos.  During the day on Monday it will be cool and dry.

After a cool start Tuesday morning temperatures will quickly rise to around 80 as a southwest flow around high pressure develops.

Quite warm Wednesday through Friday as the offshore high pressure dominates the weather for the rest of the week, dry conditions are expected to continue.

TODAY – APR 28 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with showers likely mainly from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m sunday morning, low in the mid 40s.

SUNDAY – APR 29 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 50s.  Chance of a shower at night.

MONDAY – APR 30 – Mostly cloudy, high in the upper 50s.

TUESDAY – MAY 1 – Sunny and much warmer, high near 80.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 2 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – MAY 3 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – MAY 4 – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southerly winds to 13 knots, seas 3-4 feet.

OUTLOOK – A small craft advisory has been posted effective from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday; no advisories expected from Sunday night through Wednesday night.
