Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early this morning and heavy rain with some thunderstorms are occurring in many parts of the area, temperatures are warm ranging from around 70 in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light southerly.

An area of showers and thunderstorms will be moving through the area this morning with some heavy rain.  Most of this activity will end by mid morning but there will be a low chance of some isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening as a weak cold front approaches the area.  Temperatures will warm into the 80s with rather high humidity.

Tomorrow will start our heatwave with skies becoming sunny, humidity will be slightly lower but highs will top off into the low 90s.

Very hot and humid over the weekend but we will remain dry, daytime highs will be well up into the 90s on Saturday and may be close to 100 on Sunday, heat indexes will rise to over 105 degrees.

Hot and humid weather will continue most of next week with some afternoon and evening showers possible Tuesday and on Independence Day.

SUNDAY – JUL 1 – Sunny, high in the upper 90s.

MONDAY – JUL 2 – Sunny, high in the mid 90s.

TUESDAY – JUL 3 – Mostly sunny, chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm, high in the low 90s.

INDEPENDENCE DAY – JUL 4 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
