Heavy rain this morning then some afternoon sunshine! Hot and dry Sunday and Monday!

Good morning everyone!

Rain has moved into the area early this morning and temperatures are warm once again with readings ranging from the middle 70s in Clifton to the upper 60s further inlands, winds are light and the humidity is high.

An area of low pressure will move through the area this morning producing rain heavy at times along with a rumble or two of thunder, some of the heavier downpours may cause some flash flooding.  The system will move to our northeast and high pressure will build into the area.  We should see some sunshine by this afternoon but there still will be a chance of a widely scattered shower or thunderstorm.

Bermuda high to our east will cause a more westerly flow of air for Sunday and Monday that will cause a slight drop in humidity but with more sunshine both days temperatures should reach the 90s.

Still hot on Tuesday but a slow moving cold front will be approaching the area will give us a chance of showers again Tuesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

Fair and warm weather with lower humidity is likely on Friday.
