Good morning everyone!
Skies are mainly cloudy across the area early this morning and temperatures range from around 70 in Clifton to the low 60s further inland. There are some light showers in parts of the area mostly across Central New Jersey, winds are light northeasterly. Yesterday I recorded .83 inches of rain.
A cold front has pushed to our south and we will have much cooler air today with highs only reaching the mid 70s, skies will remain cloudy throughout the day with a low chance of a couple of light showers.
Monday will be a pleasant day with seasonably cool temperatures and partly sunny skies.
Tuesday will start off dry but a frontal system will likely cause more rain from late Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, some of this rain may be heavy at times.
High pressure will build into our area late in the week into next weekend providing our area with plenty of sunshine, seasonably warm temperatures and much lower humidity.

MONDAY – AUG 20 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s.
TUESDAY – AUG 21 – Partly sunny, high near 80. Showers and thunderstorms likely at night.
WEDNESDAY – AUG 22 – Mostly cloudy and humid in the morning with showers and thunderstorms likely then becoming partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the mid 80s.
THURSDAY – AUG 23 – Mostly sunny and much less humid, high near 80.
FRIDAY – AUG 24 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.
SATURDAY – AUG 25 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.
MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Monday afternoon for northeast winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 77 degrees.
OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Tuesday; possible small craft conditions on Wednesday; no advisories expected on Thursday.
