Last day of our heatwave today!

Good morning everyone!

Skies have become cloudy early on this Thursday morning and once again it is very warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in Clifton down to the upper 60s further inland, dew points are in the mid 70s.

Another hot and humid day today ahead of a cold front, low clouds will burn off this morning and we will have mostly sunny skies, temperatures once again will rise into the 90s and with dew points in the mid 70s will cause heat indexes to rise to near or just above 100 degrees, a heat advisory is in effect. The front will cause some showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening and heavy rain is possible.

Lingering showers are possible in Friday and it will be cooler with highs in the 70s.

Mostly cloudy to cloudy skies over the weekend with cool temperatures as high pressure builds from Eastern Canada, we should be mainly dry except for some light showers Saturday morning.

Rain is likely on Monday as some of the moisture from the remnants of Tropical storm Gordon move into the area.

A warm front will pass north of the area Tuesday morning followed by warm and humid air for Tuesday and Wednesday with a chance of thunderstorms both days.

Hurricane Florence may affect parts of the East coast later next week.
