Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are chilly with readings ranging from the upper 30s in Clifton down to the mid 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

After a chilly start a southwesterly flow will bring milder air into the area along with plenty of sunshine, high temperatures should reach the 60s.  Very pleasant evening for the Trick-or-Treaters with temperatures only falling to around 60 this evening.

Quite mild on Thursday ahead of a slow moving cold front, showers from the front will reach the area at night and continue through Saturday, temperatures will be very mild Thursday and Friday but become cooler on Saturday after the frontal passage.

Sunday will be comfortably cool with plenty of sunshine.

Slightly milder early next week with showers again possible by Tuesday.

High pressure building into the area will give us plenty of sunshine, temperatures will be near normal with highs mostly in the upper 50s.

Milder on Halloween with again plenty of sunshine, the evening will be comfortable for Trick-or-Treating with temperatures near 60.

Even a little warmer on Thursday as we will have a southerly flow as high pressure moves offshore and a front approaches from the west.  Showers will develop at night.

Mild weather with showers on Friday that may last into Saturday morning as the front moves slowly through the region.

Dry and comfortably cool weather on Sunday for the New York City Marathon.

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some scattered showers over parts of the area, temperatures are mainly in the mid to upper 40s and the winds are light.

A weak disturbance that caused some light showers is moving offshore and we will have partial clearing today, it will become breezy, temperatures will be a couple of degrees below normal.

High pressure building into the area will give us another dry and cool day on Tuesday with less wind.

Much milder temperatures on Halloween with highs reaching well up into the 60s along with continued dry conditions.

Thursday may even be milder with highs reaching near 70 degrees.  There will be a chance of showers at night.

A slow moving cold front will likely give us showers again Friday into Saturday morning along with cooler temperatures.

At this point Sunday looks to be dry with near seasonable temperatures.

This morning the skies were mostly cloudy to cloudy and temperatures ranged from the low to mid 40s, winds are light westerly.

Weak high pressure building in gave the area only small amounts of breaks in the overcast, highs were in the 50s.

A weak low pressure approaching from the west will give us some light rain overnight ending in the morning.

A dry forecast is expected from later on Monday through Halloween with a warming trend with highs on Halloween well up into the 60s.

Coastal storm causing rain and wind with cool temperatures today! Better weather for Sunday!


Good morning everyone!

Rain is falling across the area this morning and with winds gusting to 25 mph makes it feel quite miserable outside, temperatures are mostly in the low 40s.

Rain will continue today with winds gusting to 35 mph especially this morning, along the coast winds will gust to near 50 mph and there is a coastal flood warning in effect.  The rain will taper off to showers this afternoon and to occasional drizzle tonight, winds will diminish this afternoon.   Rainfall amounts will be between 1 and 1 1/2 inches.

Tomorrow will be a better day with dry conditions and slightly milder temperatures, however another weaker low pressure moving through the area will likely give us more rain Sunday night into Monday morning.

Dry weather Tuesday and on Halloween, it will be cool on Tuesday but milder for the Trick or Treaters.

A slow moving front may cause some more showers along with mild temperatures Thursday and Friday.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures are cool ranging from the mid 30s in Clifton down to the upper 20s further inland, winds are light.

High pressure will be moving offshore as a developing low pressure over the southeast starts moving toward our area.  We should have an increase in clouds today, high temperatures will be cool once again with highs only in the low 50s which is about 8 degrees below normal.

The coastal low will be moving into our area tomorrow morning, rain should begin late tonight and becoming heavy at times before tapering off to showers by the afternoon.  Winds will pick up and gust to 30-35 mph with higher gusts along the coast.  Rainfall amounts will average around 1 1/2″   A coastal flood warning is in effect.

Some drizzle is possible Saturday night and Sunday will be a dry day with temperatures a little below normal.

Another weaker low will move into the area Sunday night with rain developing ending Monday morning, about 1/4-1/2 inches of rain can be expected with this low.

Dry weather Tuesday and Wednesday with a slight warming trend.

Possible showers again on Thursday.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are cool ranging from around 40 in Clifton to near 30 further inland, there is a light westerly wind.

High pressure building into the area will give us a sunny day today with continued cool temperatures, winds will be lighter than yesterday.

We should see some increasing cloudiness on Friday as the high pressure moves offshore and a coastal low pressure area starts moving up the coast, temperatures will continue to be cool.

The coastal low will cause rain moderate to heavy at times from late Friday night into Saturday morning, winds will gust above 30 mph, rainfall amounts will average near 1 1/2 inches.  The rain should taper off to showers Saturday afternoon with some drizzle at night.

Now it appears that most of Sunday will be dry but another low pressure system will give us a chance of rain from Sunday night into Monday.

At this point Halloween looks to be dry with seasonably mild temperatures.

High pressure building down form the upper midwest will give us a brisk northwest flow of cooler air, skies will be mostly sunny, temperatures will be around 5 degrees below normal.

Continued dry Thursday and Friday with continued below normal temperatures.

A low pressure is expected to move up the coast Friday night into Saturday giving the area rain and wind, at this time rainfall amounts look to be between 1-2 inches and with winds gusting over 30 mph will make Saturday a rather miserable day.

Some showers are expected to continue Sunday into early next week with continued cool temperatures.

Today will be milder as temperatures reach to near normal, skies will be mostly cloudy and there is a low chance of a shower this afternoon as a cold front approaches and swings through the area tonight.

High pressure will be building into the area on Wednesday and provide the area with dry conditions through Friday but temperatures will be below normal.

A coastal storm is expected to develop and move up the coast this weekend, some of the moisture will be from the remnants of Hurricane Willa which will be hitting the west Mexican coast today. It will be chilly with rain developing late Friday night, some of the rain may be mixed with snow well northwest of the area and mainly over the higher terrain.  Rain will be likely on Saturday with a chance of rain continuing Sunday and Monday.

Today will be a mostly sunny day, temperatures will be a little milder today but still be below normal, winds will be much less than what we had on Sunday.

Milder on Tuesday ahead of a cold front that will cross the area at night, no precipitation is expected with the front.

Quite cool weather but it will continued to be dry Wednesday through Friday.

The next chance of precipitation will be over the weekend as a coastal storm is expected to develop giving our area rain with some snow possible across parts of upstate New York and northern New England.
