Much cooler today and breezy! Seasonably cool weekend with a chance of light rain tomorrow morning!

Good morning everyone!

Rain is falling over the area early this Friday morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in Clifton down to the mid 50s further inland, winds are brisk out of the northwest.

The rain will be ending shortly as the remains of Tropical Storm Michael moves further out to sea.  Overnight we only had about a tenth of an inch of rain while down at the Jersey Shore up to 5 inches have fallen due to the storm.   Here in Clifton yesterday we recorded .93 inches of rainfall.

Today we should see clearing and some sunshine but temperatures will not rise much from the present readings with highs in the 60s, winds will be brisk especially this morning as Michael moves away from our area.   Tonight temperatures will fall into the 50s this evening and into the 40s for the first time this season by Saturday morning.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of light rain Saturday morning followed by clearing in the afternoon temperatures will be cool.

Sunday will be a pleasant fall day with seasonably cool temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

A frontal system may give us some showers Monday followed by high pressure for Tuesday through Thursday,  temperatures will be a little above normal on Monday but fall to below seasonable norms Tuesday through the end of the week as fall weather has finally arrived.
