Warm and humid today with showers heavy at times, flash flood watch in effect! Much cooler Friday through the weekend!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures continue to be unseasonably warm with readings ranging from the low 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland, these readings this morning are nearly 25 degrees above normal.  The humidity is high and there is a slight southerly wind.

A front approaching from the west along with the remnants of Tropical Storm Michael will cause heavy rain showers today and into tonight, a flash flood watch is in effect.  Rainfall totals will average between 2-3 inches with some higher amounts possible.

The front along with the remains of Michael will move well offshore on Friday, there will be a chance of an early morning shower then sunshine returns but it will be breezy and much cooler, temperatures will be near normal which will feel rather chilly after the warm weather we have experienced so far this month.

The weekend will be seasonably cool, there is a low chance of light showers Saturday morning otherwise it will be dry with some sunshine especially on Sunday.

Unsettled weather with near normal temperatures early next week with a chance of showers Monday and Tuesday, temperatures will continue to be cool.
