Milder and breezy today with scattered showers! Cool and dry weather Tuesday through Friday!


Good morning everyone!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and there are some scattered showers falling, temperatures are milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the low 50s in Clifton down to some mid 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A warm front will cross the area this morning accompanied by some scattered light showers, it will become milder with a brisk southwest wind developing.  A cold front crossing the area tonight may be accompanied by a line of showers and maybe a rumble of thunder.  Winds will become northwesterly and gusty behind the cold front.

Tuesday will be cooler as high pressure builds into the area, gusty winds in the morning will diminish by the afternoon.

Another cold front will come through dry on Wednesday followed by the coolest air of the season so far on Thursday, temperatures will fall into the 30s by Thursday morning but there should be no frost due to gusty winds.   Thursday’s highs will only reach near 50.

A little milder on Friday and Saturday but a cold front will cause showers on Saturday followed by more below normal temperatures on Sunday.

TODAY – OCT 15 – Cloudy with scattered showers, becoming breezy, high in the upper 60s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with showers and possible a thunderstorm, breezy, low in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY – OCT 16 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 17 – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

THURSDAY – OCT 18 – Sunny, high only around 50.

FRIDAY – OCT 19 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – OCT 20 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 60s.

SUNDAY – OCT 21 – Mostly sunny and cooler, high in the low 50s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.  A gale warning is in effect from 6 p.m. this evening effective until 6 a.m Tuesday morning.  Winds southwest today becoming northwest this evening gusting to 35 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft conditions likely during the day on Tuesday; no advisories expected for Tuesday night; Small craft conditions with possible gales Wednesday and Wednesday night; small craft conditions likely on Thursday;  no advisories expected during the day on Friday but small craft advisories possible Friday night.
