Heatwave to continue through Saturday! Possible strong thunderstorms Saturday afternoon! Cooler and dry Sunday and Monday! Another heatwave possible Tuesday through next weekend!


Good morning!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and it again is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the low 70s in Clifton to the upper 50s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Yesterday in Clifton we had our first 90+ day of the year with a high temperature of 91 degrees.

High pressure will dominate our weather today and on Friday producing plenty of sunshine both days along with hot temperatures, the humidity will be moderate with dew points mainly in the low 60s.

Saturday will be hot with increasing humidity and a cold front will give our area a chance of strong thunderstorms in the afternoon, however much of the time it will remain dry.

Somewhat cooler and less humid Sunday and Monday but we should enjoy plenty of sunshine both days.

Another heatwave is possible Tuesday through next weekend, little or no rain is expected during this period.

TODAY – JUNE 27 – Sunny, high in the low 90s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low around 70.

FRIDAY – JUNE 28 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 90s.

SATURDAY – JUNE 29 – Partly sunny and more humid with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.

SUNDAY – JUNE 30 – Sunny and less humid, high in the mid 80s.

MONDAY – JULY 1 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

TUESDAY – JULY 2 – Mostly sunny, high near 90.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 3 – Sunny, high near 90.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Light and variable winds, seas less than 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through Monday.
