Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and it is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the upper 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light southwesterly. Dew points are in the upper 60s.

Today will be a hot and humid day with temperatures well up into the 90s along with high humidity as dew points will be in the low 70s. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and early this evening with the heaviest rain mainly between 10 pm. tonight and 2 a.m. tomorrow morning. A flash flood watch has been posted. Rainfall amounts will average 1-2 inches with higher amounts possible.

Tomorrow will be a cloudy day but quite humid with showers likely as the remains of what was Tropical Cyclone Barry moves offshore.

Dry, very hot and humid weather is expected Friday through Sunday with Saturday expected to be the hottest day with highs near 100 and with dew points in the mid 70s will cause heat indexes to rise to near 115.

A cold front may cause some showers on Monday followed by cooler and drier weather on Tuesday. More seasonable weather with most highs in the 80s through the end of next week.

FRIDAY – JULY 19 – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the mid 90s.

SATURDAY – JULY 20 – Sunny, very hot and humid, high near 100.

SUNDAY – JULY 21 – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the upper 90s.

MONDAY – JULY 22 – Partly sunny in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, humid, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – JULY 23 – Mostly sunny and less humid, high in the mid 80s.
