Rain this morning tapering off to showers this afternoon, cool and becoming less humid! Very pleasant summer weather Wednesday through the weekend!

Rain is falling over most of the area early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton down to around 60 further inland, winds are light northerly.

A front will gradually move to our south today, we should have rain, moderate to heavy at times this morning tapering off to a chance of showers this afternoon. With the clouds and rain high temperatures will only be in the 70s. A flash flood watch is in effect for this morning.

We will then enjoy a period of dry weather Wednesday through the weekend as high pressure dominates. Temperatures near normal with comfortable humidity Wednesday and Thursday rising to above normal with a increase in humidity Friday through the weekend but it will not be as oppressive as our last heatwave.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until noon for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet. Point Pleasant Beach ocean temperature is 73 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Saturday.
