Much cooler today with periods of rain and drizzle! Clearing, cool and breezy on Friday! Mainly dry for the weekend, cool on Saturday, milder on Sunday with some showers possible at night!

Light rain or drizzle is falling over many parts of our area early on this Thursday morning and temperatures have fallen to the low 50s in Clifton down to the low 40s further inland, there is a brisk northerly wind.

After the incredibly hot day yesterday today will be much cooler with periods of rain and drizzle through tonight as a low pressure moves along the front to our south. Daytime highs will be around 35 degrees cooler than yesterday.

Weak high pressure will then build into our area and we will have clearing. It will be breezy with temperatures slightly below normal.

Saturday will be chilly and early morning lows will dip into the 30s over much of our area. Skies will be sunny.

Milder air will move into our area on Sunday but a cold front approaching the area will give us a chance of showers at night.

Showers are likely on Monday with mild temperatures as the cold front moves through the area.

Cooler Tuesday and Wednesday.

SUNDAY – OCT 6 – Mostly sunny in the morning, mostly cloudy in the afternoon, milder, high in the low 70s, chance of showers at night.

MONDAY – OCT 7 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely, high in the low 70s.

TUESDAY – OCT 8 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 9 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday morning. TODAY – northeast wind to 30 knots, seas 5-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – Possible small craft advisories during the day on Saturday; no advisories expected for Saturday night; advisories again possible Sunday and Monday.
