Mainly cloudy with occasional drizzle or light rain today and on Wednesday! Warm, wet and gloomy weather for Halloween! Dry and colder over the weekend!

Good morning!

Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some patches of drizzle or mist falling in parts of our area. Temperatures are on the mild side once again with readings ranging from the low 50s in Clifton down to the upper 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR OCTOBER 29TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 59 AVERAGE LOW: 40

RECORD HIGH: 72 – 1984 RECORD LOW: 27 – 1985

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 60 LOW: 52 PRECIPITATION: NONE

NOTE: Today is the 7th anniversary of Hurricane Sandy and the 8th anniversary of the October snowstorm that dumped around 6 inches of snow that caused many power outages due to the snow falling on trees that still had most of their leaves.

High pressure off the New England coast will give us an onshore flow today which will cause cloudy skies most of the day and night with occasional drizzle or light rain, high temperatures will be near normal.

Clouds and a chance of drizzle again on Wednesday, a more southerly flow will bring milder temperatures into our area.

A frontal system will move into our area on Halloween and move off the coast Friday morning. Rain from this system will be heavy especially on Halloween night into early Friday morning.

Clearing later Friday and it will become cooler.

Dry and cool weather is expected over the weekend into early next week.
