Quite mild with showers today and tonight! Breezy and cooler on Friday with sunshine returning! Dry and seasonable cool weather for this weekend!

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and rain is falling in many parts of the area, temperatures are unseasonably mild with readings near 60 in Clifton down to the mid 50s further inland, winds are light southerly.

A southerly flow ahead of a strong cold front approaching from the west will cause showers today, temperatures will be unseasonably mild with highs reaching the 70s. There may be a break in the rain later this afternoon into this evening but winds will pick up from the south and become gusty. The front will move through around midnight possibly accompanied by heavy rain and strong gusty winds and followed by a westerly flow of much cooler air by Friday morning.

Sunshine returns on Friday but it will be a breezy and cool.

Dry weather is expected for this weekend with temperatures a little below normal.

Mainly dry weather next week, temperatures will be slightly below normal on Monday and slightly above normal Tuesday and Wednesday.

Much cooler weather is expected for the end of next week into next weekend.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with a chance of evening showers then showers and a chance of thunderstorms around midnight, low in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – NOV 1 – Sunny, breezy and cooler, high in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – NOV 2 – Sunny, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – NOV 3 – Sunny, high in the mid 50s.

MONDAY – NOV 4 – Sunny, high in the mid 50s.

TUESDAY – NOV 5 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 6 – Partly sunny, high in the low 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 9 a.m. this morning until 6 p.m. this evening. A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 p.m. this evening until 10 a.m. Friday morning. Winds southeast gusting to 30 knots today and 40 knots this evening, seas building to 7-11 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft conditions the the day on Friday; no advisories expected Friday night through the day on Saturday; possible small craft advisories Saturday night into the day on Sunday; no advisories expected Sunday night through Monday.
