More sunshine and a little milder today with less wind! Partly sunny and mild on Easter Sunday! Soaking rain and mild on Monday!

Good morning!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton down to around 30 further inland, winds are a little brisk out of the west.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR APRIL 11TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 59 AVERAGE LOW: 41

RECORD HIGH: 84 – 2017 RECORD LOW: 28 – 1989

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 48 LOW: 35 PRECIPITATION: .04″ SNOWFALL: TRACE

The storm that gave our area strong winds and even some snow flurries yesterday will be moving further off the Maine coast as high pressure builds from the Tennessee Valley. Winds will still be on the breezy side today but much less wind than the last couple of days. Also with more sunshine it will be not as cool as yesterday but still a few degrees below normal. With the gusty winds and drier air there is a risk of brush fires in our area and a red flag warning will be in effect.

Easter Sunday will be milder with less wind as the high pressure moves off the coast and a southerly flow develops, skies will be partly sunny.

A soaking rain will fall on Monday with mild temperatures and strong gusty winds along with a chance of some thunderstorms, rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely.

Mainly cooler than normal temperatures the rest of next week with a low chance of a shower on Wednesday as a weak front moves through our area.
