Skies across the area are partly to mostly cloudy and temperatures range from the low 50s in Clifton down to a cool 39 degrees at Walpack, winds are mainly calm.

Today will be a mostly cloudy day with temperatures continuing to be slightly below normal and the humidity to be comfortable.

A warm front is expected to cross the area Wednesday morning with a chance of showers, it will become warmer and more humid. A cold front is expected to move through our area Wednesday night possibly accompanied by showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday should be a dry and warm day with mostly sunny skies.

Another frontal system will cause a chance of showers late Thursday night into Saturday, temperatures will be warm with higher humidity.

Dry and comfortable weather is expected Sunday and Monday.

CLIFTON’ CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MAY 2020!

It was a cool May with temperatures averaging 1.7 degrees below normal. Highest temperature 87 – 15th Lowest temperature 32 – 9th (tied for coldest May temperature.

May was also drier than normal with 2.65 inches accumulating. This month was only the 2nd time in 47 years that May had no thunderstorms.

There was a trace of snow on May 9th which tied for the latest snow on record.
