Very warm and becoming humid with showers and thunderstorms likely later this morning through this evening! Quite warm with still a chance of thunderstorms on Sunday!

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton down to the low 50s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Finally after having nearly 16 days without measurable rain, it is likely we finally see some needed rainfall today as a warm front moves through the area. Southwest winds will increase by this afternoon and it will become humid with dew points rising to near 70 degrees. The best chance of rain will be late this morning and again late this afternoon into this evening. Some storms may be accompanied by strong gusty winds and heavy downpours.

Sunday will be quite warm and a little muggy with again a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening as a weak cold front passes through our area.

Monday looks to be a dry day, but an upper level low in our area will give our area chances of thunderstorms each afternoon Tuesday through Friday. Temperatures during this period will average at or slightly above normal, dew points should be mainly in the mid 60s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy and muggy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m., low in the low 70s.

SUNDAY – JUNE 28 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, humid, high near 90. Some storms may be accompanied by small hail and strong gusty winds.

MONDAY – JUNE 29 – Sunny, high near 90.

TUESDAY – JUNE 30 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

WEDNESDAY – JULY 1 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – JULY 2 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – JULY 3 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.
