One more hot day today! Showers possible late tonight into Friday morning followed by cooler air during the day! Dry and warm on Saturday! More humid with a chance of showers on Sunday! Tropical Storm Isaias may affect our weather early next week!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 70s in Clifton down to the low 60s further inland. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is moderate with dew points mostly in the 60s.

One more very hot day today with plenty of sunshine and temperatures again reaching the 90s, the humidity will continue to be moderate with dew points in the 60s.

A cold front will slowly cross the area tonight with a chance of showers mainly after midnight into Friday morning, most of the showers will be just to our south. With more cloudiness on Friday and an onshore flow high temperatures will be around 10 degrees cooler than today.

Saturday looks to be the best day of this upcoming weekend with plenty of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures.

A warm front will push through the area on Sunday with a return of humid conditions along with a chance of showers.

A trough in our area early next week will give us a good chance of showers. Also we will be tracking Tropical Storm Isaias that is now near Puerto Rico and is expected to move up the east coast.

SUNDAY – AUG 2 – Partly sunny and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 3 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – AUG 4 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers, high in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 5 – Mostly sunny with a chance of a shower, high in the upper 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 10 knots, seas 1 foot. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 79 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through Sunday; possible advisories for high seas Monday and Tuesday as Tropical Storm Isaias moves somewhere up the east coast.
