Hot and humid weather to continue through Wednesday! Not as warm but staying humid with a good chance of heavy showers Thursday through the weekend!


Good morning!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Monday morning and it is quite warm and humid with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland. Winds are mainly calm and the humidity is high with some patchy fog in some inland areas.

Hot and humid weather will be with us through Wednesday with high temperatures each day rising to the low 90s, and with dew points in the low 70s should raise heat indexes to close to 100. A heat advisory is in effect. The Bermuda high pressure ridge will dominate and we should stay dry Monday and Tuesday.

A slow moving cold front will approach our area Wednesday night and be near our area through the weekend. A good chance of showers Wednesday afternoon through the weekend with some heavy rain at times. Temperatures with the clouds and a light onshore wind will be lower but the humidity will stay high.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 12 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, hot and humid with highs near 90.

THURSDAY – AUG 13 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – AUG 14 – Mostly cloudy and humid with a chance of showers, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – AUG 15 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 16 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 10 knots, seas less than 1 foot. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 71 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories are expected Tuesday through Friday.
