Another hot and humid day today! Not as hot but staying humid with a chance of showers Wednesday through Friday! Dry and comfortable weather likely for the weekend!


Good morning!

Another muggy early start on this Tuesday morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland. Skies are mostly clear. The humidity is high with dew points in our area in the low 70s. Winds are mainly calm or light southerly.

A southwest flow from the offshore Bermuda high pressure will give us another hot and humid day today with heat indexes rising to near 100 degrees. A heat advisory continues in effect. We should stay dry but a pop up shower is possible further inland to our north and west.

A slow moving cold front will move into our area on Wednesday giving our area a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be a little lower but the humidity will stay high.

The front will stay in our area Thursday and Friday with showers and thunderstorms likely with some heavy rain possible. Temperatures will be lower again but the humidity will stay high.

Finally it looks like the weekend will be pleasant with temperatures a little below normal and with lower humidity along with dry conditions.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear in the evening then becoming partly cloudy, muggy, low in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 12 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

THURSDAY – AUG 13 – Mostly cloudy in the morning then partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, humid, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – AUG 14 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – AUG 15 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 16 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

MONDAY – AUG 17 – Mostly cloudy early then becoming partly sunny, high in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 15 knots, seas 1 foot. Point Pleasant Beach’s ocean temperature is 71 degrees.
