Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from the upper 60s in Clifton down to around 60 further inland. Winds are mainly calm or light southeasterly.

Today will be a partly to mostly cloudy day it will be a little more humid than the last few days and temperatures will be warm with highs mainly in the 80s. High pressure is moving off the New England coast.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night preceded and accompanied by some showers. It will be humid with dew points in the low 70s but the temperatures will be a little lower than today due to more cloud cover.

High pressure will build into the area giving us mainly dry and cool conditions Friday and Saturday.

A frontal system will give us a good chance of rain on Sunday that may be heavy at times with the possibility of an inch or two of rain.

After early showers on Monday high pressure will build into the area with dry and seasonably cool conditions into the middle of next week.

TONIGHT – Cloudy and muggy, low near 70.

THURSDAY – SEP 10 – Cloudy with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, humid, high in the low 80s.

FRIDAY – SEP 11 – Partly sunny, cooler and less humid, high in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY – SEP 12 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

SUNDAY – SEP 13 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorm, humid, high in the upper 70s.

MONDAY – SEP 14 – Chance of a morning shower then becoming mostly sunny and less humid, high near 80.

TUESDAY – SEP 15 – Sunny, high in the mid 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – East-northeast wind to 10 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Thursday; possible small craft advisories Friday through Sunday.

NOTE: A 3.1 earthquake was recorded around 2 a.m in the Freehold area.
