A trough of low pressure along with a cold front approaching from the west will cause numerous showers and possibly some rumbles of thunder. There may be a lull in the showers around midday but should return later in the afternoon and this evening. It will be quite humid with dew points in the 70s. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are expected.

The front will move offshore early Friday morning and high pressure will build into the area from the Great Lakes giving us much less humid air during the day Friday into Saturday along with mostly sunny skies both days.

Another frontal system will likely give us more rain on Sunday that again could be heavy at times.

The rain should end by Monday morning followed by pleasantly cool and dry air into at least the middle of next week.
