Chilly and breezy with rain mainly ending by noon! Quite cold tonight with freeze warnings in effect! Still rather cool on Halloween but with less wind! Milder with a chance of a showers on Sunday afternoon and evening!


Good morning!

Another morning with low clouds and rain with some snow across the higher elevations inland. Temperatures range from the low 40s in Clifton down to the middle 30s further inland. Winds are brisk out of the northeast.

Ex-Hurricane Beta has moved well offshore but another low pressure just offshore will give us rain mainly this morning that will be mixed with snow at the higher elevations across northwestern New Jersey. High temperatures today will stay in the 40s and with brisk northeast winds it will feel rather chilly.

Freeze warnings tonight as we will have clearing skies and light winds, low temperatures will be mainly in the 20s to around 30.

Halloween will be chilly but it will be dry with less wind as high pressure will be over our area.

Milder on Sunday but a cold front will cross the area in the afternoon with a chance of showers.

Chilly again on Monday and it will be quite windy.

Dry weather should persist the rest of the week, temperatures will be below normal on Tuesday, near normal on Wednesday and then above normal Thursday through next weekend.

TODAY – OCT 30 – Rain mainly this morning, breezy and cool with highs only in the mid 40s, wind gusts to 30 mph likely.

TONIGHT: Freeze warning in effect, clearing with diminishing winds, low in the upper 20s.

HALLOWEEN – OCT 31 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY – NOV 1 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, high in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – NOV 2 – Mostly sunny and windy, high in the mid 40s. Wind gusts to 40 mph possible.

ELECTION DAY – NOV 3 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 4 – Sunny, high in the upper 50s.

THURSDAY – NOV 5 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 2 p.m. this afternoon for northeast winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 7-10 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Saturday; small craft advisories expected during the day on Sunday; gale warnings likely Sunday night through Monday night; no advisories expected for Tuesday.
