Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the mid 30s in Clifton down to near 30 further inland, winds are mainly calm. Some inland areas may have some fog with black ice on the roads and sidewalks.

Today will be a mainly cloudy day with light winds with seasonable temperatures with highs near 40.

Tonight a weak disturbance will give us a chance of snow showers late tonight into early Tuesday morning, no accumulation is expected here but a dusting is possible across the higher terrain to our north and west.

Dry weather with temperature near seasonable levels the rest of Tuesday into Wednesday as high pressure builds into our area.

A strong cold front will approach the area on Thursday with a southerly flow of mild air moving into our area. Rain ahead of the front will be heavy at times with 1-2 inches possible. Along with the rain winds may gust to 40 mph.

The front will cross the area sometime on Christmas Day bringing in colder air along with a chance of snow showers.

The weekend looks to be dry with temperatures below normal on Saturday and near normal on Sunday.

THURSDAY – DEC 24 – Cloudy with showers likely by the afternoon becoming heavy at times in the evening, windy, high in the mid 50s.

CHRISTMAS DAY – DEC 25 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers turning to snow showers in the afternoon, high near 40.

SATURDAY – DEC 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 30s.

SUNDAY – DEC 27 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

OUTLOOK: A small craft advisory has been posted effective between 1 a.m. Tuesday morning until 1 a.m. Wednesday morning; no advisories expected for Wednesday; advisories expected on Thursday with gales possible; advisories expected to continue on Christmas Day.
