CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR JANUARY 21ST:

AVERAGE HIGH: 36 AVERAGE LOW: 21

RECORD HIGH: 61 – 2006 RECORD LOW: -8 – 1985

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 39 LOW: 24 PRECIPITATION: .01 SNOWFALL: 0.2″

January 21st has the lowest average temperature of the year and now we are halfway through the winter season which so far has been warmer than normal.

Weak high pressure will give us a southwest flow of air as a weak cold front approaches the area. Temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than yesterday and with somewhat lower wind speeds it will not feel as chilly.

Continued seasonably mild on Friday as another weak cold front crosses the area.

Colder over the weekend, with Saturday being the coldest, with high temperatures struggling to reach the freezing mark and with gusty winds it will feel even colder. Less wind on Sunday with high temperatures a couple of degrees higher than on Saturday. Dry weather is expected.

There will be a chance of snow Monday night into Tuesday but some models have the low pressure moving too far to our south to cause any precipitation in our area.

Another chance of snow later next week.
