Rain this morning ending by early this afternoon! More rain from noon on Sunday ending near noon on Monday! Mostly sunny, windy and much colder on Tuesday!

Light rain is falling over the Clifton area early on this Saturday morning, some of the rain is mixed with or falling as light snow well inland. Temperatures range from 36 in Clifton down to 28 at High Point. Winds are calm or light southeasterly.

A frontal system will be moving through the area today which will cause rain that should end around noon today. Temperatures will be mild with highs near 50.

A break in the rain from this afternoon through Sunday morning but the rain will redevelop around noon on Sunday and continue into Monday morning, temperatures will continue to be mild.

A strong cold front will cross the area Monday night with a strong northwest flow of colder air for Tuesday, highs will only be in the 30s and with gusts near 40 mph will make it feel much colder.

Quickly moderating temperatures on Wednesday after a cold morning.

At this point Thursday and Friday look to be dry with above normal temperatures.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the mid 30s.

SUNDAY – FEB 28 – Rain developing around noon and continue into the night, high in the mid 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain in the morning then partly sunny in the afternoon, high in the low 50s. Much colder and windy at night with a chance of flurries.

TUESDAY – MAR 2 – Sunny, windy and cold, high in the upper 30s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 3 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

THURSDAY – MAR 4 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – MAR 5 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday morning for westerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories possible Sunday into Sunday night; no advisories expected during the day on Monday; gales possible Monday night into Tuesday morning; small craft advisories likely Tuesday afternoon; no advisories expected Tuesday night through Wednesday.
