Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures at 5 a.m. range from 38 in Clifton down to 28 at Walpack, winds are mainly calm.

Another low pressure area will move into the area today causing rain to develop around noon and continue through Monday morning. Rainfall amounts will be around a half of inch.

A cold front will cross the area Monday night with Arctic air behind it causing colder weather with a chance of some flurries Monday night. Tuesday will continue to be cold and windy with mostly sunny skies.

Mainly dry weather Wednesday through next weekend. Temperatures will be mild Wednesday and Thursday but turning colder Friday through next weekend.

TODAY – FEB 28 – Cloudy with rain developing around noon, high in the mid 40s.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with periods of rain, low in the upper 30s.

MONDAY – MAR 1 – Rain before noon then becoming mostly sunny, high near 50. Colder and windy at night with flurries possible.

TUESDAY – MAR 2 – Sunny, windy and cold, high only in the mid 30s.

WEDNESDAY – MAR 3 – Mostly sunny and milder, high in the low 50s.

THURSDAY – MAR 4 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

FRIDAY – MAR 5 – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

SATURDAY – MAR 6 – Partly sunny, high near 40.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Easterly winds to 10 knots, seas 3 feet.

OUTLOOK – A gale watch has been posted effective between 6 p.m. Monday night through 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon; no advisories expected Tuesday night through Thursday.
